Atelier des Dunes Luxury Hotel in Paris
A Serene Hotel Interior Where Sculptural Design Meets Quiet Luxury
The city remains outside. Inside, everything becomes softer.
Atelier des Dunes is a conceptual luxury hotel in Paris imagined by Sentta, where luxury hotel furniture transforms the lobby into a landscape of fluid forms, natural materials and quiet conversation.
Morning light enters through tall windows and moves slowly across textured upholstery, timber and sculptural silhouettes.
Seating is arranged not in rigid rows, but in intimate islands that allow the architecture to breathe and conversations to form naturally.
The atmosphere is sophisticated without feeling staged.
At its centre is Samara, designed by REPUBLIC OF II BY IV for Sentta as an exploration of balance between sculptural presence, comfort and contemporary craftsmanship.
The collection draws inspiration from forms shaped gradually by nature. Generous curves meet more precise lines, creating furniture that appears substantial from a distance and unexpectedly soft as guests move closer.
The Samara Lounge Chair becomes one of the lobby’s defining elements.
Its sculptural back gives the piece presence from every angle, making it particularly effective in open hotel interiors where furniture becomes part of the architecture rather than simply something positioned against it.
Around it, Samara Sofas establish larger social areas.
Their generous proportions encourage guests to settle rather than simply pass through, changing the role of the hotel lobby itself.
What might traditionally have been a transitional space becomes somewhere for morning coffee, an informal meeting, an afternoon conversation or a quiet pause before dinner.
This shift is increasingly important in contemporary hospitality.
The best luxury hotel furniture must do more than look impressive on arrival. It must support the many different ways guests inhabit a hotel throughout the day.
Samara responds by bringing the softness associated with high-end residential interiors into hospitality and contract environments. Sculptural form gives the furniture identity, while upholstery and generous proportions make that identity approachable.
Designed by REPUBLIC OF II BY IV in collaboration with Sentta, Samara debuted in 2024 around Salone del Mobile and has received international design recognition, including finalist distinctions at the SBID International Design Awards 2025 and Hospitality Design’s HD Awards 2025.
Yet inside Atelier des Dunes, recognition and specifications recede into the background.
What remains is experience.
The curve of a chair beneath the hand. The quiet created by upholstered forms. Natural warmth against Parisian architecture. The feeling that a hotel lobby can be somewhere worth staying rather than simply somewhere to pass through.
That idea reflects a broader evolution in luxury hotel interior design.
Hospitality spaces are becoming more residential, tactile and emotionally considered. Guests expect comfort, but they also expect identity.
Designers therefore need luxury hotel furniture that can create memorable interiors without sacrificing the sense of ease that makes people want to remain.
Atelier des Dunes imagines precisely that balance.
Outside, Paris continues at full speed.
Inside, another coffee arrives.
Nobody is in a hurry to leave.
Parisian sophistication without formality. Sculptural design without excess. Hospitality that begins the moment you sit down.
