Centre Court Student Residence in Nottingham
Contemporary Student Living Designed Around Comfort and Connection
Student living is evolving beyond the individual room.
Centre Court Nottingham is a modern student residence designed around comfort, convenience and the expectations of a new generation of residents. Created to enhance everyday student life, the development brings functionality and contemporary style together within an environment designed for living, studying and connecting.
Within this dynamic setting, the Goa Lounge Chair by Sentta introduces warmth through a timeless and understated design language. Designed by Francesc Rifé Studio, Goa reflects a philosophy that bridges industrial and interior design, combining clean lines and balanced proportions with an inviting sense of comfort. Inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of Goa, the collection has a restrained character that allows it to integrate naturally into contemporary residential environments.
The Goa Lounge Chair is particularly suited to the shared spaces of modern student accommodation, where furniture contributes to environments that need to support different moments throughout the day. From socialising with other residents to finding a quieter place to sit between activities, communal areas have become an important extension of private student rooms. Here, Goa’s generous lounge proportions create an inviting place to pause, while its clean silhouette maintains the contemporary character of the surrounding interior.
This balance between functionality and atmosphere is increasingly important when selecting student accommodation furniture in the UK. Contemporary student residences are designed not simply to provide a place to stay, but to create environments where residents can feel comfortable, interact and become part of a wider community. Furniture plays an important role in shaping those shared experiences, helping larger communal spaces feel more welcoming and establishing different areas for conversation, relaxation and everyday life.
The project was developed in collaboration with Project FF&E, a UK furnishing and fit-out specialist with a design-led approach. Working across sectors including Build to Rent, co-living, hotels and student accommodation, the company delivers tailored furniture and fit-out solutions that bring together functionality, style and quality.
The wider Goa Collection extends the same design language across a lounge chair, armchair, dining chair and bar stool, allowing designers to create continuity between lounges, dining areas and shared living environments while responding to the different functions of each space. This versatility is particularly relevant to student accommodation, where multiple communal settings often need to feel connected while supporting different ways of using them.
At Centre Court Nottingham, the Goa Lounge Chair becomes part of a contemporary approach to student living—one where functionality is complemented by comfort and shared spaces are considered an important part of the overall residential experience.
Student living beyond the individual room. Contemporary comfort designed for shared experiences. A residence shaped around living, connecting and feeling at home.
