Glasshouse Square Build to Rent in Bristol

Contemporary City Living Designed Around Comfort and Wellbeing

Contemporary city living is increasingly defined by what happens beyond the walls of the individual apartment.

At Glasshouse Square, just a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads, bright and spacious apartments come together with thoughtfully designed shared environments to create a contemporary residential experience in the heart of the city.

Impressive skyline views connect the development to Bristol beyond, while outdoor terraces provide residents with inviting places to step away from the pace of urban life, relax and enjoy the surrounding atmosphere.

The project was developed in collaboration with TEN London, specialists in Build to Rent interior design with a portfolio of more than 20 large-scale developments across the UK.

TEN’s approach bridges residential and hospitality design, creating environments that balance aspirational living with the wellbeing of residents and their surroundings.

Within this context, furniture becomes an important part of how shared residential spaces are experienced.

Selected for the project, the Cintura Lounge Chair by Sentta introduces a sculptural focal point while maintaining the comfort and warmth expected from contemporary residential interiors.

Cintura takes its inspiration from 19th-century fashion, when dresses were carefully constructed to accentuate the elegance and shape of the waist.

That historical reference is translated into contemporary furniture through the chair’s distinctive gathered detailing.

Rather than interpreting the inspiration literally, the design transforms it into form: a sculptural silhouette where upholstery, proportion and detail create a sense of movement and refinement.

Within Glasshouse Square, Cintura and Goa Lounge Chairs brings this character into a modern residential environment.

Its generous lounge proportions create an invitation to pause, while its expressive silhouette gives the surrounding interior a distinctive identity. This combination is particularly relevant when specifying Build to Rent furniture, where communal environments must feel comfortable enough for everyday use while retaining the visual quality associated with aspirational residential design.

The relationship between residential and hospitality interiors has become increasingly important within Build to Rent developments.

Residents expect more than functional communal areas.

Shared lounges, reception spaces, terraces and social environments become extensions of the home—places to meet neighbours, work away from the apartment, welcome visitors or simply spend time in a different setting.

Furniture helps define each of those moments.

A lounge chair can create an intimate corner within a larger communal space. Sculptural seating can establish visual identity without making the environment feel formal. Carefully considered proportions and upholstery can bring the comfort of a private residence into spaces designed to be shared.

At Glasshouse Square, Cintura responds naturally to this intersection between residential comfort and hospitality-inspired design.

The wider Cintura and Goa Lounges extends the same distinctive design language across a dining chair, lounge chair, counter stool and bar stool, allowing architects and interior designers to introduce continuity between different seating environments.

For Build to Rent projects, that versatility can help create interiors that feel connected without becoming repetitive.

Glasshouse Square reflects a broader evolution in contemporary city living, where the quality of a residential development is increasingly shaped by the complete experience it offers.

The apartment remains personal.

Beyond it, shared spaces create opportunities for connection, relaxation and community.

At Glasshouse Square, architecture, outdoor space and considered furniture come together around that idea.

Bristol living with a hospitality sensibility. Residential comfort shaped around community. Build to Rent furniture designed to make shared spaces feel like an extension of home.
