At the Clubrooms Lounge at Heathrow Airport, commissioned by No.1 Lounges, a refined interior concept creates a quieter experience before departure, bringing together considered hospitality design, natural elements and contemporary airport lounge furniture at Heathrow.
A carefully curated planting scheme plays a defining role throughout the space.
Lush greenery introduces a sense of calm and biophilic authenticity into the lounge’s different environments, softening the interior and creating a visual connection with nature within the highly dynamic setting of an international airport.
This relationship becomes particularly expressive in the distinctive Orangery area, where planting, furniture and interior architecture come together to establish an atmosphere that feels removed from the movement of the terminal beyond.
The result is a tranquil retreat where travellers can pause, relax and reconnect before continuing their journey.
Within this setting, the Goa Armchair and Goa Bar Stool, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio for Sentta, introduce a clean and timeless furniture language.
The Goa Collection draws inspiration from the landscapes and atmosphere of Goa, translating that influence into minimalist lines, balanced proportions and an understated relationship between structure and upholstery.
Crafted in solid ash wood and finished in brown pewter, the pieces are upholstered in soft fabric, bringing additional warmth and comfort to the lounge while complementing its natural material palette.
The Goa Armchair creates a more enveloping seating experience.
Its restrained silhouette allows it to sit naturally alongside the greenery and architectural elements of the Clubrooms Lounge without competing for attention. Instead, its warmth, proportion and upholstered comfort contribute to the quieter character of the environment.
At elevated seating areas, the Goa Bar Stool translates the same design philosophy into a different posture.
Its minimalist profile and balanced proportions maintain the visual language established by the armchair while responding to the more social and dynamic nature of bar-height seating.
Together, the two pieces demonstrate an important principle when specifying airport lounge furniture at Heathrow and other international travel environments: different seating typologies can respond to different guest behaviours while still contributing to one coherent interior identity.

The project was delivered in collaboration with Contract Chair Co., a supplier of design-led European hospitality furniture serving clients across the UK, EU, USA and beyond. The company curates contract furniture for hospitality environments, providing detailed specifications, material options and tailored solutions for international projects.
