Lumière Fine Dining Restaurant in Barcelona
A Mediterranean Dining Room Shaped by Softness and Light
Some restaurants announce themselves the moment you enter. Others reveal themselves slowly.
Lumière is a conceptual fine dining restaurant in Barcelona imagined by Sentta, where luxury restaurant furniture becomes part of an interior composed through soft light, sculptural silhouettes and a palette of ivory, stone and warm neutrals.
Pendant lights appear to float above the tables. Glass catches reflections from across the room. Textured fabrics soften the architecture while pale surfaces allow shadows, movement and silhouettes to become part of the composition.
During the day, Mediterranean light gives the restaurant an almost weightless quality. As evening arrives, the same interior becomes warmer and more intimate.
At the centre of this transformation is the Dama Dining Chair, designed by André Teoman for Sentta.
Repeated throughout the dining room, Dama creates rhythm.
Its curved upholstered silhouette introduces softness against the restaurant’s architectural lines, while its wooden structure brings warmth and definition to the milky palette.
From across the room, the chairs become part of the geometry of the interior. Closer up, their tailored upholstery and carefully resolved proportions reveal the craftsmanship behind that apparent simplicity.
In a restaurant, a dining chair carries an unusual responsibility.
It must contribute to the identity of the space while becoming almost invisible once the guest sits down. It must look elegant when repeated dozens of times and remain comfortable through a dinner that may last several hours.
This balance is fundamental to luxury restaurant furniture.
Dama responds with a compact yet expressive presence suited to fine dining restaurants, boutique hotels and sophisticated hospitality interiors. Its form is distinctive without becoming visually demanding, allowing lighting, table settings, architecture and people to complete the scene.
And repetition changes the chair.
One Dama is an object. A dining room filled with Dama becomes architecture.
Rows of curved backs establish rhythm across the room. Upholstery catches the changing light. Timber introduces warmer notes between stone, glass and linen.
As guests arrive and chairs move away from tables, the composition becomes less perfect and more alive.
That is when Lumière truly begins.
The project reflects a softer interpretation of contemporary restaurant interior design, where luxury is communicated through atmosphere rather than excess.
Barcelona provides a natural setting for that idea: a city where architecture, gastronomy and social life have always existed in close conversation.
Here, dinner is rarely only about what arrives on the plate.
It is about the room, the company, the chair you forget you have been sitting in for two hours and the moment when another bottle arrives because nobody is quite ready to leave.
Mediterranean light. Contemporary romance. Luxury restaurant furniture designed for evenings that deserve to last a little longer.
