SAMARA — Modern Serenity, Sculptural Elegance
Morning light slips across soft neutrals and sculptural lines. In the lounge of a luxury hotel in Paris, the Samara Collection holds the room with quiet confidence—forms distilled to what serves you, textures chosen for touch, and seams that seem to disappear. What guests first notice is the hush: a kind of spatial clarity that calms the mind and invites conversation. That effect isn’t accidental. Samara was conceived by REPUBLIC OF II BY IV for Sentta as a study in balance—bold presence without noise, sensual volume without excess, and hospitality performance without compromising craft. The design language nods to wind-shaped dunes: fluid, continuous curves meeting precise edges to create silhouettes that feel both contemporary and timeless.
Seating islands shape the lounge into gentle rhythms. Deep sofas stage easy gatherings; lounge chairs swivel subtly toward light and company; tables trace circulation lines. Each piece tempers architecture with tactility: velvet and technical linens soften acoustics, and add quiet luxury, and open-pore ash grounds the palette in natural warmth. The comfort profile is tuned for real hospitality dwell—supportive for a quick espresso or an unrushed afternoon. Guests don’t perch; they arrive.
Samara’s craft is in its understatement. Stitch lines are deliberate but discreet. Radii are generous where the body wants to lean and tighter where light needs a crisp highlight. Solid wood bases carry the mass with an air-gap that keeps the volumes light; minimalist metal options pair well with stone or lacquer tables in curated neutrals. Modular sofa elements—armless, corners, chaises—let designers tailor layouts to lobby and lounge footprints, and integrated power can be specified without visual clutter.
Behind the calm is serious durability. Performance fabrics meet contract standards, foams keep their resilience in high-traffic spaces, and finishes are designed for maintenance cycles in hospitality. Sustainability is addressed through responsible sourcing and long-life components—an ethos shared by Sentta and the collection’s designers.
Samara is designed by REPUBLIC OF II BY IV in collaboration with Sentta—debuted in 2024 around Salone del Mobile. The collection has been shortlisted as a Finalist in international programs, including the SBID International Design Awards 2025 (Furniture – Residential) and Hospitality Design’s HD Awards 2025 (Product: Seating, Finalist)—recognitions that underline its craft, sustainability focus, and market relevance.
Samara is a contemporary family of sofas and lounge chair, defined by fluid geometry and a nuanced palette of soft neutrals. The standout is the lounge chair’s sculptural back—voluptuous yet poised—paired with a solid ash base or minimalist metal. Sofas offer generous seat depths and thoughtful ergonomics.
