Shangri-La Luxury Hotel in London
Contemporary Comfort Above the London Skyline
High above the city, hospitality takes on a different perspective.
The iconic Shangri-La London has undergone a refined interior refresh led by Studio Linar, introducing renewed warmth, comfort and contemporary sophistication across several of the hotel’s hospitality spaces.
With the London skyline forming an extraordinary backdrop, the interiors balance the prestige of the destination with something more intimate: spaces designed for guests to settle in, connect and experience the hotel at their own pace.
Furniture plays an important role in creating that atmosphere.
To complement the hotel’s timeless elegance, Studio Linar selected a curated collection of Sentta seating, bringing together Cintura, Goa, Pipo and the Essex Lounge across different lounge and guest areas.
Each design introduces its own character while contributing to a coherent approach to luxury hotel furniture in London, where sculptural presence is balanced by comfort, craftsmanship and a sense of ease.
The Cintura Collection brings one of the project’s most distinctive silhouettes.
Inspired by 19th-century fashion and the way garments were shaped to accentuate the waist, Cintura translates this historical reference into contemporary furniture through its characteristic gathered detailing. The result is expressive without becoming excessive, introducing a sophisticated sculptural element within the hotel’s refined surroundings.
Goa, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio, offers a quieter counterpoint.
Defined by clean lines and balanced proportions, Goa brings understated elegance to the interior. Its restrained design language allows it to integrate naturally with the surrounding architecture while contributing the warmth and material presence expected from contemporary luxury hospitality.
The Essex Lounge introduces a different sense of comfort.
Its embracing silhouette and generous upholstered presence bring a more relaxed, residential quality to the hotel’s lounge areas, creating inviting places where guests can pause, meet or simply enjoy the extraordinary setting around them.
Together, Cintura, Goa, Pipo and Essex allow different areas of Shangri-La London to develop their own atmosphere while remaining connected through a shared attention to proportion, materiality and comfort.
This is particularly important in contemporary hotel interiors.
A hotel is never experienced as a single room. Throughout a stay, guests move between lounges, dining spaces, bars, reception areas and quieter corners, each with its own purpose and rhythm.
Thoughtfully selected luxury hotel furniture in London helps create continuity between these different moments.
A sculptural chair can give an open space identity. A generous lounge chair can make a large interior feel more intimate. Different seating families can introduce variation while remaining connected through craftsmanship, materials and a consistent approach to comfort.
At Shangri-La London, these details contribute to an environment where luxury does not depend on formality.
Instead, it is experienced through the relationship between setting and comfort.
The view may be extraordinary, but the furniture creates the places from which to enjoy it.
This balance reflects the evolving expectations of contemporary luxury hospitality. Guests increasingly look for environments that feel elevated yet approachable, visually distinctive yet comfortable enough to inhabit naturally.
At Shangri-La London, the result is a series of welcoming spaces set against one of the city’s most remarkable perspectives.
Places to meet. To pause. To take in the view. To allow the city below to move a little faster while everything inside slows down.
London from above. Contemporary comfort within. Luxury hotel furniture helping make an extraordinary destination feel beautifully personal.
