The Coal Shed

Located in the heart of Brighton’s town centre, the Coal Shed Brighton celebrates the art of cooking over coal. With a focus on seasonal local produce, the restaurant offers a bold dining experience centred around live fire-cooking, exceptional wines, and expertly crafted cocktails- making it one of the city’s most distinctive culinary destinations.

Complementing this vibrant atmosphere, the Essex Armchair introduces a refined, cosmopolitan touch. Handcrafted in ash wood, finished in brown pewter, and upholstered in cotton velvet, it blends contemporary design with comfort, elevating the restaurant’s warm and sophisticated interior.

The project was developed in collaboration with PS Interiors International, a leading provider of European contract furniture for the global market. With extensive experience across hospitality, residential, marine, and airport environments, the company delivers tailored furniture solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and design.

The Essex Collection includes- a sofa, lounge chair, armchair, counter stool, bar stool, and daybed– allowing designers to furnish lounges, dining areas, and shared living spaces with a cohesive and refined aesthetic.
