Mauro, a young product designer with a penchant for minimalist aesthetics and functional design, had always harbored a dream of making a significant impact in the world. While studying at the Lisbon School of Design, he poured his heart and soul into his final project: the Edge Lounge. The origami shapes, with their sharp angles and smooth curves, provided the perfect metaphor for his design. With the Edge Lounge complete, Mauro entered the Fenabel Design Challenge, a prestigious competition for emerging designers. To his astonishment, he won first place. The recognition and exposure he gained from the competition were invaluable, and soon, he found himself in talks with Sentta, a renowned premium furniture brand.

Impressed by Mauro’s talent and the innovative design of the Edge Lounge, Sentta offered him the possibility to improve the design and be a part of their collection. With the support of the brand’s resources and expertise, Mauro was able to refine and perfect his creation. The Edge Lounge was launched to great acclaim, and it quickly became a coveted piece of furniture for discerning customers around the world.

Mauro’s journey from a student with a dream to a successful designer had come full circle. The Edge Lounge, a testament to his creativity and passion, had not only won him a prestigious award but had also helped to redefine the boundaries of modern furniture design.
